a song by Ken (my cousin) and his band (Time.Space.Repeat). No Laces is a working name, the other is called Saved. They have not decided yet.
it is totally mesmerising.
lyrix:
As the street lights turn to gold, so the clouds lift and laughs fill the air.
Time has pulled us so many ways, made me lose faith, but still you were there.
So many times I've tried to say, but the words stick somewhere around my heart.
And perhaps you'll never know that you saved me from falling apart with no laces and no hope.
The general idea being that it's looking back at a time when the narrator was deeply unstable (that is, falling apart) with 'no laces' to hold them together (as in a corset rather than a shoe). the first bit is more looking around at what they have now and how life is good. It's slightly awkward in the respect that it seems to focus more on the negative aspect of the song in the second half, but really it's meant to be quite a positive song thanking the unknown benefactor for their help in darker times.

In the midst of
my so called perplexing life, wondering around inconclusively about the doubts in certain things… while I constantly brush it under the rug conveniently hoping that someone will clean it before I even realize… *terrible spoiled brat* Anyway, somehow, things always have its own way of turning round and suddenly lil clouds started to clear off allowing the rays of sunshine glowing into my window.
It’s been real great in the last coupla weeks…
Mostly lil things…
Such as stumbling upon the difference of bedsheet.
Question : what’s the disparity between this and that … beyond colours and design.
Answer: by the number of thread counts. (unexpectedly from a geek!)
Oh I see…..*alamak* is it common sense? Kaka.. well.. I just learned. *another sign of a spoiled brat, buying bedsheet is mummy’s role!*
Such as knowing the first person other than me, who drinks teh-o-ice-limau-kosong. And giggling while debating whether dolphin is an animal?
Such as waking up one morning amusingly finding my puppy sleeping on the garden table all night just because she’s too afraid to come back down! Mind u she’s a rottweiler.. kaka who turns out to be a gentle giant too.
Such as shedding a few drops of tears, during my read of Tuesdays With Morrie.
Such as watching Jerry McGuire on HBO last night..(again) and touched by the powerful classic line (again and again) - ‘you.. complete me’ !!! fuyoh!!
Such as laughing away at my forgetfulness… i.e. almost driving off to a friend’s wedding when it’s suppose to be the next day! (Reminds me of some past embarrassing moments.. e.g. Going to a job interview that’s suppose to be the next day!! Phoaw.. extra points for the enthusiasm!) (Standing in front of the US embassy officials and got screwed because i was one week earlier than my appointment date) … going to work leaving my laptop behind… and the list goes on… pray that one day if you see a headline : ‘Mum left baby behind in shopping mall without even knowing’, hopefully that’s not me!
Although …

Blooming Cameron
Our marketing retreat brought us to Cameron Highlands, a very relaxing place with plenty of sightseeing at tea plantation, flower nursery, bee farm, strawberry farm, watercrest farm and organic farm. Everything was slow paced, no traffic, cooling weather and very peaceful.
The trip on the contrary, was pretty dramatic, having had some angry neighbour of our bunglow chased us out to begin with... then got locked out at Smoke House standing in the cold for almost an hour... not to mention.. the 'beings' some of us felt in the room.. kakaa..and a nightmare about my roomie turning into a monster trying to kill me!! and the same roomie who perhaps will walk slower than normal from now on, who was teased when she ate conflakes before realising that a snail had shared the same pot of milk with her!! kakaa...
some trigger happy clicking shots here..

What’s your favourite colour?
We all grew up with colouring books painting our childlike imaginations
We aaww at the fascinating rainbow because of its 7 colours
We paint our walls with soothing colours to relax our souls
Women put colours on their face to look beautiful
Flowers and butterflies are beautiful because of their gorgeous colours
Nudibranches, fishes, and corals are mesmerising also because of its overwhelmingly awesome colours
Colour TV was invented to enhance visual entertainment
Colour Contact lenses are fashionable
Football teams are differentiated by colours
Countries are sort after colourful national flags
Big brands are being identified by colours
Different colour symbolizes different emotions and connotations i.e., energy, tenderness, softeness, calmness, sweetness …
We are associated with colours one way or another
We are all surrounded by a colourful life
Yet
Why do some people, have to despise coloured people?
Why can’t they look beyond the skin colour?
Why can’t these racial discriminating people open up their big and kind hearts?
I’ve been struggling to understand
